I come every year to the alps with my family and this year was by far the best we ever had, simply because of the efficiency of Nightfall arranging our bookings including the villa rental, ski, restaurants, clubs and transport, they really made it easy for us, we did not have to deal with all the logistics which was convenient.
Working with an American company makes all the difference, easy to work with and much better than local companies that don't understand our standards, we had sooo many bad experiences in the past, but thankfully The Nightfall Group was here to save the trip. I def recommend them and especially Rosie who was super helpful.
The house we rented was staffed and ski in / out like a 5 star hotel but the staff only for you, they picked us up from Lyon Airport and made it easily to courchevel, I love this place and will be back by using this company again in the future.
Mont d’Arbois One of Megève’s most prestigious addresses, Mont d’Arbois combines elevated Alpine scenery with direct access to the resort’s finest slopes. The Blue Chalet sits at the heart of this exclusive area, a 750m² property sleeping up to 14 guests across seven en-suite bedrooms. An adjustable indoor pool, jacuzzi, starry-sky hammam, and a home theatre that doubles as a private disco make it one of the most versatile luxury chalet rentals in Megève — equally suited to families, groups, and corporate retreats.
Megève Village Centre The beating heart of the resort, Megève’s village centre is where Alpine charm meets high-end living. Pedestrianised streets lined with Michelin-starred restaurants, designer boutiques, and lively après-ski venues make this the most coveted location for guests who want everything within walking distance. Chalets in the village centre are among the most sought-after in the French Alps and rarely reach the open market.
Rochebrune Sitting on the eastern face of the resort, Rochebrune is one of Megève’s three main ski massifs and a neighbourhood beloved for its quieter residential character. Properties here offer direct access to the Rochebrune gondola and sweeping views across the valley toward Mont Blanc. It is a particularly popular area for families seeking a balance of slope access and village tranquillity.
Le Jaillet Overlooking Megève from the north, Le Jaillet is a gentler, more secluded corner of the resort with its own dedicated ski area connecting to Combloux and Saint-Gervais. Chalets in this area tend to be larger estate properties set within generous plots, offering a level of privacy rarely found closer to the village. The neighbourhood appeals to guests seeking a true Alpine retreat without the bustle of the centre.
Megève Village & Surroundings Perched high above Megève between Switzerland and Italy, The Stares Chalet delivers the timeless Alpine experience at its most refined. Spanning an impressive 895m² with 9 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, this property invites guests to gather around the fireplace as the mountains settle into silence — a rare combination of grand scale and genuine warmth, starting from €29,500 per week.
Combloux Just five minutes from Megève, the neighbouring village of Combloux — known as the Pearl of Mont Blanc — offers some of the most breathtaking Alpine panoramas in the French Alps, connected to the resort via the Mont Blanc Express. Guests staying in Combloux enjoy the calm of a traditional Savoyard village while remaining within easy reach of Megève’s slopes, restaurants, and snow clubs.
Countryside & Estate Chalets For those seeking space, seclusion, and something truly extraordinary, The Savoie Chalet is Megève’s most expansive luxury rental — 1,500m² across two traditionally crafted timber and stone chalets set amidst picturesque Alpine pastures. Sleeping up to 16 guests across 8 en-suite bedrooms, it features two living rooms, a wraparound terrace, wine cellar, private cinema, and an underground nightclub, making it the definitive choice for multigenerational stays and private events in the French Alps.
Saint-Gervais-les-Bains A short drive from Megève and connected via the Mont Blanc Express, Saint-Gervais is a charming spa town at the foot of Mont Blanc offering a more authentic, village-style Alpine experience. Known for its thermal baths and traditional architecture, it is an ideal base for guests who want access to Megève’s ski area while enjoying a quieter, more local atmosphere at a more accessible price point.
Peak Season: Christmas, New Year, and February Half-Term Megève reaches its highest energy during Christmas week, New Year, and February half-term. Chalets fill months in advance and the village buzzes with festive atmosphere — every restaurant, snow club, and après-ski venue in Megève operates at full capacity. The cobblestoned village centre comes alive with seasonal events, horse-drawn carriages, and the kind of Alpine magic that makes Megève one of the most sought-after luxury ski destinations in the French Alps. Early booking is essential — the best chalets in Mont d’Arbois and the village centre are reserved up to a year ahead for these dates.
Mid-Season: January and Early March January and early March offer the best balance of snow conditions, availability, and value in Megève. The resort is quieter, the slopes feel uncrowded, and the village retains its full charm without the peak-season intensity. Restaurants and snow clubs remain fully open throughout, and The Nightfall Group’s concierge team can secure priority reservations with far greater ease during this window. This period suits families, corporate groups, and guests who prefer a calm, unhurried Alpine experience without compromising on luxury or access.
Late Season: April April in Megève brings longer days, warmer sunshine, and a relaxed, almost festive mood on the mountain. The snow softens, the terraces fill, and the resort takes on a distinctly laid-back character that appeals to those who enjoy skiing at a gentler pace. Many luxury chalets in Megève offer reduced weekly rates in April, making it one of the most accessible entry points into a high-end Alpine stay. Skiing typically remains excellent through mid-April on the higher runs above the resort.
Several convenient travel options connect Megève with major European cities. Each suits a different schedule and level of comfort. The Nightfall Group concierge team coordinates all transfers directly from your arrival point to your chalet door.
By Plane Geneva Airport is the closest and most popular gateway to Megève, sitting just 1 hour by road from the resort — one of the shortest airport transfers of any major Alpine destination. Chambéry Airport and Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport offer additional options with a wider range of European connections, both within approximately 1.5 to 2 hours by road. Private transfers from all three airports deliver guests directly to their chalets without delays or shared transport.
By Private Jet or Helicopter Megève is served by its own airfield, Megève Airport, which accepts private aircraft and helicopter arrivals directly at the resort. Helicopter transfers from Geneva take under 20 minutes, making it the fastest and most spectacular way to arrive in the French Alps. The Nightfall Group coordinates all airfield logistics, ground transfers, and onward arrangements in advance.
By Train The Eurostar connects London with Paris, with onward TGV services running to Sallanches, the closest major train station to Megève at just 15 minutes by road. It is one of the most accessible Alpine resorts by rail in the French Alps, making it an excellent choice for guests travelling without a car. Road transfers from Sallanches connect seamlessly to chalets throughout Megève and the surrounding area.
By Car Driving to Megève offers flexibility and some of the most scenic Alpine approaches in the region. The resort is easily accessible from Geneva via the A40 motorway, with a straightforward route through the Arve valley. Snow chains or winter tyres are recommended during peak season. Chauffeur services are available for guests who prefer a fully managed road transfer from arrival to chalet door.
Megève is widely regarded as one of the finest luxury ski resorts in the French Alps and indeed all of Europe. Unlike larger, more purpose-built resorts, Megève offers a rare combination of authentic Savoyard village charm, Michelin-starred dining, high-end boutiques, and an extensive ski area connecting three massifs — Rochebrune, Mont d’Arbois, and Le Jaillet. For guests seeking a refined, unhurried Alpine experience with world-class accommodation, Megève is consistently the resort of choice.
Both resorts sit at the pinnacle of Alpine luxury but offer distinctly different experiences. Courchevel 1850 is known for its high-octane après-ski scene, direct Three Valleys ski access, and a concentration of ultra-high-end properties. Megève offers a more intimate, village-centred atmosphere with cobblestoned streets, horse-drawn carriages, and a slower pace that appeals to guests who prioritise charm and discretion alongside luxury. The Nightfall Group operates across both resorts and can advise which suits your group best.
Megève sits within a vast interconnected ski area spanning over 445km of pistes across the Évasion Mont Blanc domain, shared with Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, Les Contamines, and Combloux. The ski area suits all levels, from gentle beginner runs in the village to challenging off-piste terrain on the higher faces of Mont d’Arbois. The resort’s three massifs — Rochebrune, Mont d’Arbois, and Le Jaillet — each offer a distinct skiing character and can be explored across a full week’s stay.
The Nightfall Group’s Megève concierge team is multilingual, operating fluently in English and French as standard. The team’s local knowledge extends beyond language — having lived and worked in Megève year-round, they maintain personal relationships with the resort’s top restaurants, snow clubs, and private venues, ensuring guests receive genuine insider access rather than standard tourist recommendations.
